Cameron Orland is an Indigenous Asian-Pacific Islander born and raised in the island of Guåhan. She taught herself to knit at the age of 12. She moved to The Bay Area in 2015 to study Knitwear Design at Academy of Art University. She’s passionate about experimental knitwear with unconventional materials, stitch patterns, and silhouettes. Though far from home, she is most inspired by her connection to her CHamoru and Filipino ancestry and her eclectic taste in art and media.
